Red Bull Bedroom Jam 2012 bigger, better and open for business
Written by Simon Robinson    Wednesday, 11 January 2012 12:19

bedroom-jam-20122012 marks the 6th season of Red Bull Bedroom Jam, the platform that takes unsigned bands from the bedroom to the stage. Evolving each year, 2012 marks a new chapter in the program which, among its many others benefits, will now give 3 successful bands the chance to devise, create and produce their very own high spec music video in conjunction with a team of industry professionals – so this year there’s even more reason to get uploading!

As always, this year’s Red Bull Bedroom Jam will be giving 8 bands the chance to play four of the UK’s best summer festivals – Slam Dunk, Hevy, Download and Sonisphere. In addition to this, the overall champion will then get studio time in the state-of-the-art recording space, Red Bull Studios London and a support slot of a major artist’s UK wide tour. Add a comment

LOSTALONE ANNOUNCE NEW LABEL AND A SOLD OUT CHRISTMAS SHOW
Written by Simon Robinson    Tuesday, 22 November 2011 18:29

Lost AloneAfter persevering for 18 months to have their music heard and living through label and management changes, Derby’s rock trio LostAlone are  finally ready to face the world.

Following their debut 'Say No To The World' in 2007, they plan to release a new album early next year via Graphite Records.  To celebrate, the band will be playing a home town Christmas show on 22nd December 2011 at Derby’s Victoria Inn which sold out within hours of tickets going on sale.

LostAlone have spent five weeks recording in Los Angeles during May 2010 with acclaimed producers, Jacknife Lee (Weezer, U2, REM, Bloc Party), Greg Wells (Mika, Deftones, Katy Perry), executive producer Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance) with mixes by Alan Moulder (Smashing pumpkins, NIN, FOO FIGHTERS) and Mark Needham (Killers, Fleetwood Mac, MCR) after signing with Warner Bros/Sire Records in late 2009. Due to changes in personnel, they were consequently released from their contract and given their album enabling them to continue their journey alone.
