Hi Guys, how are you both doing today?
We’re doing great...we’re just off on tour with Seth Lakeman...should be fun!!
What’s the story behind your band name, ‘Winter Mountain’?
To be honest we were both too
drunk to remeber how it came to be.
You’re set to release your debut EP ‘Find, Follow’ can you tell us a bit about it?
It’s 3 tracks taken from our forthcoming album and we felt we wanted to give our fans a taste of what to come. The lead song features the amazing Robbie McIntosh who plays electric guitar in bands with Paul McCartney, Mark Knopfler and John Mayer.
You both share a mutual love of the sounds of the 60’s and 70’s, who are your biggest musical inspirations?
The Band, Simon & Garfunkel, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, CSN, Neil Young...the usuals.
Who do you look up to in contemporary music?
Ryan Adams, Laura Marling, Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes.
If you could have a ‘jam’ session with anyone, who would it be?
Easy!!! The Beatles
Have you got any plans to tour this year or any festivals lined up for the summer?
We’re touring with Seth Lakeman at the mo, we have a few festivals over the summer and will be touring extensively in the autumn.
You have a really interesting story behind how you both met, can you briefly tell us it?
We met randomly on a train going from Chicago to Memphis...got talking all night an decided to form a band...
How did you both come to be in America at the time you met?
We both happened to be backpacking from different ends of the country when we boarded the same train.
Do you have any plans to travel back to the US, perhaps for a tour?
We’d love to tour the States but currently have no plans to go back soon.
Where can people go to have a listen to your music?
